Royal bread

  • 390g whole wheat flour
  • 260g plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 400ml water
  • 50g porridge

Mix all of the dry ingredients and the add water. Stir all of the ingredients with a wooden spoon until you can’t stir any more.

Knead the dough with damp hands until flour is completely mixed in

.Form the dough into a ball and place it on a baking tray.

Sprinkle with porridge oats and place in a cold oven.

Heat the oven to 190C and leave for 1 hour.

Take the bread out of the oven and let it cool slightly.
