Raspberry Pi 3A+ as a weather station

WS1080 weather station

This was my weather station and was powered by a Raspberry Pi 3A+ running Raspbian Buster lite with pywws.

Unfortunately the base station kept losing connection with either the weather station or the Pi.

So I’ve now replaced it with a Raspberry Pi running weewx that receives data from the weather station sensors using a DVB-T USB stick as a SDR (Software Defined Radio). This is read using rtl_433 with a BME280 pressure sensor as I’m not using the base station that housed the pressure sensor.

It still uploads data to Wunderground, Windy, openweathermap and weathercloud, but I also send a Tweet on the hour with the current weather information and a photo from the camera.
